There are no specially run shuttle buses from the airport to the city centre. The city buses run passed the front of the airport and stop by Natal Shopping Centre, where you can catch bus #66 to Ponta Negra. Buses marked VIA COSTERIA also pass the airport and travel along the coastal highway, stopping in Ponta Negra before going to downtown Natal.
